I love the desert. It seems to bring out the crazy in people (which is usually a good thing). Never thought a city girl like me would like it so much. Maybe I’m really a desert girl…

Lots of Angelenos come to Palm Springs to get away from the city, and I love seeing how they dress for the occasion, it’s like LA-eclecticism on steroids. You’d have to go and see for yourself…

This outfit was my interpretation of city girl in the desert. Dark and basic, yet very comfy and casual.

Somehow, I found myself inside H&M on Friday night. While struggling to find my way out, I couldn’t help but notice these blue cozy-looking things on a rack.

I’ve been kind of skeptical toward the whole knit-tights-as-pants thing going on, but these ones kind of made me change my mind. It doesn’t hurt that they are insanely comfortable.

A few weeks ago, you could still wear just a poncho here in NYC and not be cold. Not so much anymore.

I love everything about this poncho (bought on sale at H&M like 13 years ago), but my absolute favorite part is the puffy pompom details.

Now that it’s colder, I’ll sometimes wear it over jackets, that’s what I originally bought it for. I think I thought it was just a big scarf. It lingered at the bottom of a cardboard box in my parents’ basement for years before I unearthed and resurrected it 3-4 years ago. I love moments like that, finding old treasures that once again become new favorites…

Fall has come to New York at last. It’s a good excuse to wear black, and the cool air feels nice.
