<p>As increasingly cold winds are blowing through the streets of NY, I find myself longing for the warm breeze of summer.</p>
<p><a href="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/CF_101022_Satara1.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3665" title="CF_101022_Satara1" src="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/CF_101022_Satara1.jpg" alt="Concrete Flower: 101022: Satara" width="640" height="427" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.satarafashion.com/" target="_blank">Satara</a> is both fairtrade fashion label and NGO. The collection, designed by Dutch designer <a href="http://www.satarafashion.com/story.html" target="_blank">Moniek van Erven</a>, is made by women in India who are self-employed and through this work able to support their families.</p>
<p><a href="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/CF_101022_Satara3.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-3667" title="CF_101022_Satara3" src="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/CF_101022_Satara3.jpg" alt="Concrete Flower: 101022: Satara" width="640" height="427" /></a></p>
<p><em>The inspiration for the collection comes from the beautiful concept and culture of hand-woven Khadi fabric. The cloth is steeped in Indian history and was an icon of Mahatma Ghandi’s liberation movement, where it embodied the ideas of freedom and autonomy, truth, and closeness with nature. Building on these words, the Satara collection represents the dream of empowerment, femininity, and independence.</em></p>

<p>Jag älskar allt från designern Kimberly Hartmans <a href="http://www.jadetribe.com/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">JADEtribe</span></a>. Lite beachigt, lite gypset, och 100% naturligt och etiskt. JADEtribe symboliserar verkligen mode med samvete. Allt är handgjort av kvinno i Kambodia, Laos och Thailand, som betalas rättvisa löner. Finns inte i svenska butiker (kolla <a href="http://www.jadetribe.com/wheretobuy.html" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">websidan</span></a> för andra länder), men utvalda produkter kan klickas hem <a href="http://www.shopbop.com/actions/viewSearchResultsAction.action?query=jadetribe" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">här</span></a> och <a href="http://www.delight.com/Handmade-JADEtribe-Shopper" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">här</span></a>. Smycken från $35 to $130. Väskor från $55 till $560.</p>
<p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline">TRANSLATION:</span><br />
I love everything from designer Kimberly Hartman&#8217;s <a href="http://www.jadetribe.com/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">JADEtribe</span></a>. A little bit beach-y, a little bit <a href="http://www.gypset.com/go/2010/gypset-the-book/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">gypset</span></a>, and 100 percent natural and ethical. JADEtribe is the true embodiment of fashion with a conscience. The pieces are handmade by women in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, who are paid a fair living wage. Look for retail outlets <a href="http://www.jadetribe.com/wheretobuy.html" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">on the site</span></a>, otherwise select products are available <a href="http://www.shopbop.com/actions/viewSearchResultsAction.action?query=jadetribe" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">here</span></a> and <a href="http://www.delight.com/Handmade-JADEtribe-Shopper" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline">here</span></a>. Jewelry from $35 to $130. Handbags from $55 to $560.</em></p>
