This is where I stand most mornings, waiting for the M train. I definitely prefer outdoor platforms over underground ones.

Especially since we’ve been so spoiled with this mild and sunny weather here in NYC.

I’m very into gray, brown, beige neutrals right now and I love how my new faux fur hat has all these colors in it.

Ni förstår inte hur stort detta är!! Äntligen, äntligen har New Yorks MTA transit installerat tidtabellsdisplayer på min tunnelbanelinje! Det kan verka självklart för en svensk, men dessa har inte funnits i New Yorks tunnelbanor förrän nu. Man stod där och hade liksom ingen aning om tåget skulle komma om en minut eller en timme. Displayerna “testades” på L tåget ett bra tag, och nu har de installerats på 4-5-6 linjen. Hoppas hoppas alla stationer får dem snart.

Litet insider tips: New Yorkers använder aldrig färgbenämningarna när de pratar subway, utan siffrorna och bokstäverna. Man säger alltså “the 4-5-6 line,” inte “the green line.” Helt irrationellt eftersom det inte finns nån logik i hur numren och sifforna används, men jag har haft mången diskussion med New Yorkare och det är helt enkelt bara så.

Insider tip: New Yorkers never use the colors when they talk about the subway, but the numbers and letters. Which means you say, for example, “the 4-5-6 line,” not “the green line.” Makes no sense since there is no logic to how these numbers and letters are assigned, but I have had many a discussion with the locals and that is simply the way it is.
