<p>Getting dressed (and putting on makeup) for dinner is kind of weird when you don&#8217;t have access to mirrors (besides warped and rusty rearview ones)—and haven&#8217;t seen yourself in a one for days. I had M take these photos so I could see how I actually looked.</p>
<p><a href="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/CF_110210_haleiwa2.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4771" title="CF_110210_haleiwa2" src="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/CF_110210_haleiwa2.jpg" alt="Concrete Flower: 110209: Dressing Without Mirrors" width="640" height="960" /></a></p>
<p>Ultimately I decided against the furry vest and headband since Haleiwa is a verrry laid-back surf town, but the crochet dress stayed on, and was accompanied by a crochet sweater as well. I got these shell earrings as part of my end-of-schoolyear outfit when I was ten years old (they went with a red flowery dress), I still wear them often and bring them every time I go somewhere tropical.</p>
<p><a href="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/CF_110210_haleiwa3.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4772" title="CF_110210_haleiwa3" src="http://concreteflower.se/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/CF_110210_haleiwa3.jpg" alt="Concrete Flower: 110209: Dressing Without Mirrors" width="640" height="800" /></a></p>
<p><em><strong>///</strong> crochet dress, Patrick Robinson for Target (5-6 yrs old) / faux fur vest, Marshalls / vintage Frye boots, Beacon&#8217;s Closet / headband, belt from a tunic dress / mini leather bag, mom&#8217;s / earrings, bought when I was 10 yrs old / bracelets &amp; rings from all over <strong>///</strong></em></p>
