I had a really good V-Day. My Valentine met me at the train with a bouquet of red tulips, cooked me a yummy dinner with lots of mushrooms and popped open a nice bottle of 1988 Chateau Latour that once belonged to Anna Wintour. So good!
Back in December, we took a day trip to the Tuthilltown whiskey distillery (the first one in NY since prohibition) in Upstate New York. Did I dress to match the barrels? Not on purpose, but it seems I still managed to camouflage myself quite well into the whiskey-scented environs…

This is one of the shows I wish I would have seen live—just to see the movement of the fabric. I’ve written about Costello Tagliapietra before, commending their use of the waterless AirDye technique. They also won the CFDA/Lexus Eco-Fashion Challenge a few months back.
I love the bright colors, simple cuts and slight Mad Men-goes-disco vibe. These talented two have a very bright fashion future ahead of them.
You will find it where you least expect it—as a coffee stain on your shirt or inside the onion that made you cry, all you need to do is look… Happy Valentine’s Day.

I’m wearing an old tank from H&M that since has been mysteriously shredded in my laundry machine and a crochet cardigan I found at H&M a few weeks ago and fell instantly in love with. The necklace is my guardian angel, given to me by my parents 15 years ago, I always wear it when I fly.
