I walk by every day, but hadn’t even noticed this 74 foot giant, right there in the middle of the plaza.
I guess that’s what happens when you live in NYC, you’re too busy to look up. (Note to self: look up more)
The lighting ceremony is on Tuesday, November 30th. 30,000 LED lights will all illuminate at once. Maybe I’ll stop by after work, if there aren’t too many tourists clogging the streets.
I feel bad for these poor branches that didn’t make the cut (or, actually, they DID make the cut, just in a sad kind of way).
