VELVET, DENIM & HAT

Saturday night outfit. I love this crazy oversized velvet shirt-thingy that I found in a thrift shop on the LES the other day. Opening of Kaight in Brooklyn, harvestival backyard soirée on State Street & drinks on an Upper West Side terrace. Lovely times…

FLAVORS OF THE MONTH: AUGUST

It’s never too late for a little look back at the months that passed. This one went by way too quickly. Summer weekends out of town, camping, Swedish Hasbeens, a visitor from Sweden, a gift from Japan, cheese doodles and a trip to Hawaii. Goodbye August!

A BLAST FROM THE PAST

Oh, how quickly time passes… New York Fashion Week, Fall 2008. I would still wear everything except that scarf/belt thingy. I do want one of those doors in my apartment one day.

VINTAGE BOOTS

Rifling through the shoe racks at Beacon’s this past weekend, I came across these lovelies. Love the stitching and the rich brown color. My size + $34.95 = Sold.

DETAILS: VOLUME

Luis Valezuela at The GreenShows. Love the elegantly draped (recycled) dress pant necklines, the recycled bottle-top ecoist bags, the big hair, the sophisticated makeup and the recycled lampshade fabric shoes. Volume was the word of the eve.
