Skräpfest

Kom just hem från en tillställning i företaget Terracycle‘s pop-up shop på Penn Station. Det var premiärparty för en TV-show på Sundance som heter The Lazy Environmentalist (som jag även just fått reda på att en gammal vän’s band från Miami gjort musiken till). De började med att sälja “worm poop” (översättning behövs inte) – växtnäring i flytande form, men har sedan expanderat och till att göra allt möjligt av sopor i en eller annan form. Vissa saker väldigt coola (kolla klänningen gjord av M&M påsar här ovanför) och användbara, andra kan man ifrågasätta. Jag skulle till exempel aldrig skicka mitt barn till skolan med en pärm som i princip är chipsreklam! Vi fick med oss två stora brickor med frukt och grönsaker hem i slutet av kvällen. Lunch hela veckan!

Just got back from av event at Terracycle‘s pop-up shop at Penn Station. There was a premiere party for the Sundance show The Lazy Environmentalist (that I also just found out an old friend from Miami’s band made the music for). The company started selling worm poop — liquid plant fertilizer, and has since expanded to making anything from garbage of one kind or another. Some things are very cool (check out the dress made from M&M bags above) and useful, others could be questioned. I would, for example, never send my child to school with a binder that is really nothing but advertising for potato chips! We scored two huge trays of fruits and veggies at the end of the night. Lunch all week!
