Efter bion var vi iväg och kollade på en lägenhet i Bushwick. Det är ett av de Brooklyn-områden som fortfarande är väldigt ruffigt (utan att vara särskilt farligt) och ett ställe där många konstnärer och kreativa bor. Detta var ett stort loft i en föredetta stickningsfabrik, med liten uteplats som man måste gå runt byggnaden för att komma till och en enorm gemensam takterrass. M gillar den för han kan parkera motorcykeln innanför grindar (säkert), men jag är lite tveksam på området fortfarande. Skulle vilja ha nåt med lite mer finslipad karaktär. Det finns en natural food store, vinbutik, ett galleri och tunnelbana (väldigt viktigt) runt hörnet, men det bästa är dock att restaurangen Roberta’s ligger precis mittemot. Vi kikade in där för lite pizza innan vi åkte hem. Nu blir det raggsockor på och lite catch-up med svenska TV-program.
After the movies we went to look at an apartment in Bushwick. It’s one of the Brooklyn neighborhoods that are still a bit rough (without being particularly dangerous) and a place where many artists and creatives live. This was a big loft in a former knitting factory, with a small outdoor space that you have to walk around the building to access and a huge common roof terrace. M likes it because he can park his motorcycle behind gates (safe), but I’m still not sure about the neighborhood. I’d like something with a bit more refined character. There is a natural food store, wine store, a gallery and a subway (very important) around the corner, but the best part is that the restaurant Roberta’s is right across the street. We stopped in for pizzas before going home. Now, it’s time for fuzzy socks and some catch-up with Swedish TV shows.
