This is one of the finds from the new second hand store (which I can’t recall the name of) I came across on my Sunday walk.

A sleeveless white shirt in a great silky material, at $48 it was bit expensive for me but something tells me I will get a lot of use out of it. (Sorry about the mirrorface!)

I love when you buy something new that makes other pieces you already have just click. I love the warm rust color of this long dress/shirt I bought this week.

And it goes so well with these over-the-knee socks from American Apparel that I’ve had for 3-4 years and never used that much. Love it.

Somehow, I found myself inside H&M on Friday night. While struggling to find my way out, I couldn’t help but notice these blue cozy-looking things on a rack.

I’ve been kind of skeptical toward the whole knit-tights-as-pants thing going on, but these ones kind of made me change my mind. It doesn’t hurt that they are insanely comfortable.

I have wanted one of these Kånken backpacks from Fjällräven for so long. Think I remember having a green or red one of these as a kid, most children growing up in Sweden in the 80s probably did, but I have no idea where it went.

And, after a few no-so-subtle hints, my love got me one for my birthday. I absolutely love it.

I like wearing it with more dressed-up looks, to give a bit of an edge. That said, it’ll probably come with me out into the woods a few times too. To me, that’s the point of a modern wardrobe — basic pieces that are able to transition seamlessly between all aspects of life.

I bought this faux fur hat right before I left Stockholm. I like that it’s funky and elegant at the same time, and kind of woodland creaturesque. The price was right too, 199 SEK (about $28).

Right after these photos were taken it started snowing. It didn’t stop until 20 or so hours later. It looks magical right now — a true winter wonderland.

I’ve decided my feet are not going to freeze this winter.

So, I ordered these Caribou boots from Sorel. They’re toasty as can be — supposedly good down to 40 below!

For someone who is prone to stepping in puddles, it doesn’t hurt that they’re waterproof either.

They run big, so get a size smaller (I’m a 10 and the 9 fit me perfectly). Got ‘em for $88 from Amazon.

All in all, this feels like a very responsible purchase. I think my mother will be proud.

I love love love this gray poncho that by man bought for me in China last year. It’s Mongolian cashmere, and sooo comfy.

The simple design makes it very versatile. Sometimes I just throw a belt on and it becomes a dress.

In addition to the green boots I showed before, I also picked up these brown ones last week. They’re from Børn Crown, the higher end line by handcrafted comfort brand Børn.

Seriously, it the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever worn! I love the rich brown color and quality of the leather.

I only buy something made from leather if I can see myself wearing it for a very long time. These boots are timeless, true heritage style devoid of any “trendy” details that could make them seem dated a year from now. They’ll last me decades, and — at $70 from Nordstrom Rack — must be considered a very good investment.
